BRAVO 181 WEEKLY JOURNAL

Graduation 03/20/2009

  Bravo 181 Forming week

It has been a long hard week, but Bravo Company has made it through its first week of training. We have come from all over the map from Hawaii to Alaska, California to, New York. We are all different, but from the moment we entered Cape May, we became one whole unit. While it will take us awhile to become a unified team we have already started to foster a teamwork spirit starting at Sexton Hall. There we got off the buses, all nervous but excited. During the first few days we went through basic paper work, uniform distribution and medical. I think it is safe to say we have to thank the Cape May medical staff for making sure we never catch anything with all the shots and pokes and prods they gave us. They did warn more is to follow. After processing, we were given over to our company commanders, the people who will try to teach us all we need to know about Coast Guard live. With all the experience between them, we feel a deep sense of pride for being taught by such dedicated and inspiring people. During the weekend, they started what will be a 08 week lesson that will (hopefully) culminate in a graduation into such a noble service. That is the focus and goal that keeps us motivated through the trials that we faced during the weekend. We are the largest company on the regiment, but we feel like we can become the closest group after this weekend. We can only look forward for what is to come, and face it together. We may be tired, sore, and just a little overwhelmed, but we are dedicated to our team goal.
