 CAPE MAY, N.J. - The command staff of Coast Guard Training Center Cape May and local veterans held a wreath laying ceremony today at Signalman 1st Class Douglas Munro's statue in honor of the men and women of the military who have sacrificed their lives to serve our country. 

Munro is the only member of the United States Coast Guard to receive the Medal of Honor. Munro received the award posthumously for his actions during the Guadalcanal Campaign of World War II.
