With the end of week 03 creeping upon us all we strive to push ourselves even harder. Today we went to seamanship where our instructor BM2 Cupak taught us about unit and vessels and she gave a brief history on the units she has been to since leaving boot camp.  Ironically she got stationed right here in Cape May right out of boot camp.  We also learned about cutters, aircrafts and stations. In the evening we were introduced to the Honor Guard.  We were all amazed that they possess the same pride and poise our Company Commander possess.

Honor, Respect, and Devotion to Duty are the three Coast Guard core values.  After almost 03 weeks we should live, eat, and breathe those values.  Today was spent pretty much all at Seamanship where we continued to hone our seamanship skills. YN1 Bruner stressed discipline to us all evening long.

Today started at 0600 with a “Fire” “Fire” “Fire” to wake us up and get our blood pumping. After chow we started our divine hours. After divine hours half the company went to Goff Hall where they went through shooting indoctrination and the other half practiced manual of arms with BM2 Jansen on a blazing hot day.  Later in the day nerves were shaking when BM2 Jansen conducted random rack inspections.  The squadbays were silent but after all the inspections were completed the company realized we needed to square away our racks. The evening ended with our nightly granola bars and prayer time, week 03 is now over and week 04 is greatly welcomed.
